Sculptures for Summer Solstice

R.L. Barnum sculptures in a field outside his studio near, well, a big field in Mecosta

Happy First Day of Summer!

A short entry today because I’m touring a part of Michigan that is all new to me: the west central part of the Lower Peninsula. The “Up North” without the drive, as they say around here.

Sunday evening en route from Mt. Pleasant to Stanwood and my overnight stay at Tullymore Golf Resort I passed the studio of artist Robert L. Barnum. Just thought the joyful sculptures were a good fit for the first day of summer.

More to come on Tullymore and more.

  1. Kath – Tullymore…. It is a great place and one of the best golf bargains you can get for the quality of the two courses. GPU.
