Recipe File: Blueberry Smoothie

What's better than blueberry muffins and a blueberry smoothie? Blueberry muffins and a blueberry smoothie on a pressed cloth (Yikes, those wrinkles!)

Continuing the Bluetooth theme mentioned yesterday, this morning I finally got around to making the blueberry muffins I wrote about last blueberry season. And to accompany them, a tall blueberry smoothie. Yum.

You can get the blueberry muffin recipe and read about the goodness of blueberries at the July 28, 2009 post.

I just made up the smoothie and it went something like this:

In a blender:

1 C milk
1 C plain yogurt
1 banana (peeled 😉
2 T honey
2 C blueberries (frozen are great)

Whir together and adjust with more honey or add milk if too thick.

I put very ripe bananas in the freezer for baking and smoothies. If you don’t use a frozen banana add ice cubes to chill the smoothie.

Feel good about yourself for having such a good-for-you breakfast. Then brush your blue teeth.
