A Michigan Map You Can Snuggle Under

A detail of the map of Michigan throw blanket

Chills, earache, sneezing, coughing, sore throat… Today was one of those days I wish I’d had this colorful throw to snuggle under.

I felt just dandy on Saturday afternoon when I saw this oversized map of Michigan throw/blanket at the museum shop at Greenfield Village. I like the retro feel, with the images of vacationers and the icons representing different industries across both peninsulas. It measures 50″ x 60″ and costs $59.99.

It’s not available through The Henry Ford online store; you’ll just have to go to Dearborn and visit the museum to get your blankie. Not a bad option, since the museum is stocked with lots of Michigan products and crafts made by artisans at The Henry Ford. (You can also phone the museum shop and they will ship it to you; call 313-982-6001 and ask for the Village shop.)

Very cool.

Ah-choo!
