Homemade: Goods From The U.P.

Keweenaw Bay, Upper Peninsula

There’s a new way to Say ya to da U.P., eh? I just learned about MIUpperHand, a web store dedicated to promoting quality goods made in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The Marquette-based online marketplace is a means for artists and makers of handcrafted products who live in the U.P. to share their creations with the world.

Find rugs from Gwinn, soaps from Greenland, Maple Syrup from Bark River, jewelry from the Keweenaw, plus books, music, photos—even sportsmen’s knives from Rapid River.

MiUpperHand currently showcases just a small number of talented folks who call the U.P. home; more artists and makers will be joining the program. To stay on top of the changing inventory you can sign up for an e-newsletter at the website or Facebook page.
