Contest Corner: You Auto Buy A Chance To Win $20,000

A $5 ticket could win you $20,000 in a raffle to support the MotorCities National Heritage Area.

MotorCities is one of 49 National Heritage Areas in the U.S., and represents hundreds of locations related to Michigan’s automotive and labor history.

The historic sites, museums, homes, events, car shows—even cemeteries—are spread over a 16 county area in the southern Lower Peninsula.

Funds raised in the MotorCities raffle will support the promotional programs of affiliate of the National Parks Service.

Raffle tickets are sold online; buy one for $5, 3 for $10, and 6 chances for $20. Four additional $1,000 prizes will be awarded. The drawing will be held October 8 at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn; you need not be present to win.

This salute to Michigan's car culture at the state's historical museum in Lansing is part of the MotorCities National Heritage Area

  1. MotorCities is a great organization. We need to support our heritage areas for sure! Because most of us grew up around here, we take our automotive history for granted. But it constantly amazes me that we have soooo many visitors from other parts of the country and around the world who come to see not only the history of the Big Three…but also what they’re up to today.
