Nautical And Nice Marine Mart

Love lake boats? Head to the 31st annual Marine Mart on Saturday, November 19 for Great Lakes related goods. This is the ore carrier Saginaw near Mackinac Island.

It’s an inland seas flea market.

Great Lakes fans and those who shop for them will want to be at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms for the annual Marine Mart, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 19.

Boat nerds, lighthouse lovers, collectors and holiday shoppers can browse nautical nicknacks, art, charts, books, ship models, postcards and ephemera at the 31st annual event hosted by the Dossin Maritime Group of the Detroit Historical Society.

Robert McGreevy, Great Lakes historian, author and marine artist will present his paintings and sign copies of his book “Lost Legends of the Lakes” featuring select shipwrecks from the Griffon to the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for early birds who pay a $10 admission. General admission is $7; children 12 and under admitted free.
