Homemade: Treats For Great Lakers With Good Taste

Tom's Cheery Cherry Cherry Berry Pie from Sweetie-Licious Bakery Cafe

Another in a series about Christmas Gifts from the Great Lakes State

Michigan-made edibles can be a delicious choice for the foodies in your life, whether they love to cook or bake and like to experiment with new ingredients or just crave a certain consumable.

Some folks may enjoy a special treat like the oh-so-delish berry pie (pictured above) from Sweetie-Licious Bakery Cafe in DeWitt, just north of Lansing. You can shop online for its award-winning pies and the retro-inspired website is fun to explore.

Check out some of the “Homemade” foods featured in previous Great Lakes Gazette posts, below, and a story in the Detroit Free Press listing lots of Michigan food products: Mail order delicacies from around Michigan make great gifts.

Just be prepared to be tempted to satisfy your own appetite for Michigan goodies by ordering a gift for yourself.
