Friday Freebie: Detroit Institute of Arts

Spend a free day at the Detroit Institute of Arts in the city's happening Midtown

Hurry and you can visit one of the great art collections on the planet for free during March, aka DIA Facebook Fan Appreciation Month.

Be a DIA Facebook fan

Just go to the Detroit Institute of Arts Facebook page, click the Get FREE ADMISSION tab and print a pass good for complimentary admission for up to four folks, good through March 31, 2012.

The DIA, in the heart of the city’s Cultural Center in the Midtown area, is open 10 a.m.- 10 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday; closed Monday-Tuesday.

Entry usually ranges from $4 for kids to $8 for adults.
