The Grape Lakes State

The Great Lakes State is starting to look a lot like the Grape Lakes State.

The Michigan Grape & Wine Industry Council just released the 2012 edition of its Michigan Wine Country magazine, and trumpets 11 (eleven) new wineries.

Michigan now counts 91 commercial wineries, and vineyards have increased 60% in the last decade. Did you know there are winemakers in the Upper Peninsula?

Find more facts and articles—Dianna Stampfler of Promote Michigan writes about Grape Lakes Adventures—and check out the guide and order it online. Or pick up a free copy at Michigan wineries or state information centers.

Cheers!
