Abbott’s Magic hosts the 75th Magic Get-Together August 1-4 in Colon

Did you know that the Magic Capital, world famous in some circles, is in Michigan?

Colon, a village of about 1,200 located halfway between Detroit and Chicago, is Abracadabra Central for reasons I reveal in a recent article; to make the story magically appear click Michigan Country Lines magazine.

Plan now to attend the 75th Magic Get-Together August 1-4 hosted by Abbott’s Magic Company.

Each year the population of Colon more than doubles as pro and amateur magicians and fans converge for performances, demonstrations, sale of magic tricks and a tour of the cemetery, the final resting place of famous names in magic.

While in the area visit the American Museum of Magic in Marshall, less than an hour’s drive from Colon.

Learn more about it in the article Colon: The Magic Capital.

For nearby lodging options check into Coldwater, where you can perfect the act of making a bucket of popcorn disappear while taking in a double feature at the Capri Drive-In.
