Shutterbugs take note: You can learn to improve your nature, outdoor and photojournalistic skills from three professional shooters at the first Lake Superior Magazine Photography Weekend this October.
The $75 session opens with a reception and networking from 5-7 p.m. Friday, October 5 at The Inn on Lake Superior in Duluth, Minnesota.
At the day-long seminar, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, October 6:
- Shawn Malone will share her tips for “Chasing the Northern Lights”
- Paul Sundberg will advise you on “Tracking & ‘Shooting’ Wild Critters”
- Amanda Hansmeyer will help you to succeed in “Capturing a Moment”
I’m familiar only with Marquette-based photographer Shawn Malone’s work through her Lake Superior Photo website; earlier this year I posted her time-lapse video of the Northern Lights at Great Lakes Gazette.
It seems to me it would be worth the cost of admission for her presentation, but you’ll learn from all three pros for the registration fee of just $75. And that includes lunch. The hotel is offering discounted room rates.
Check out the schedule and register online.
Snap to it; the workshop is limited to 150 participants.
