Shopping Shipshewana

An auctioneer does his best to move artwork and prints at the weekly antiques auction in Shipshewana

After hearing about it for years I finally made the trek to Northern Indiana’s Amish country and Shipshewana, where there’s a weekly antiques auction, a massive flea market and an abundance of too-cute shops.

Although I didn’t buy anything on my first trip to the area I’ll know where to go when my shopping list includes Amish-made quilts, rag rugs, cheese ball mixes, faux folk art and real antique wooden rakes.

Check out my story at GrossePointeToday.com
