Fall For The Great Lakes State

Plan now for a leaf-peeping tour in Michigan

Summer’s not over yet, but it wouldn’t hurt to check out the newly redesigned website for Travel Michigan, and sign up for your Pure Michigan Fall Color Updates from michigan.org so you can start planning an autumn escape in the Great Lakes State.

With the unusual weather patterns we’ve had this year no one knows when Mother Nature will apply her paint brush to the 19 million acres of woods across both of Michigan’s peninsulas, but typically the greens turn to yellow, orange, gold and red beginning in mid-to late September in the U.P., and the colors last until late October in the southern part of the state.

Get your free fall color e-updates and check out the bounty of festivals and events, suggested driving routes, seasonal deals, pumpkin farms, markets, cider mills, wine trails and more at Travel Michigan’s website, michigan.org.
