The annual visitors magazine to the Traverse City region is hot off the press and filled with ideas for spending time in the “Little Finger” region of Michigan’s Mitten.
Order your copy of the guide to the Northwest region of the Lower Peninsula from the Traverse City Convention & Visitors Bureau at TraverseCity.com, where you can flip through the 106-page magazine online (although the cover shown online is of a snow scene, the contents are the same as the one pictured above).
Wine not plan a winter getaway to this grape area? The tasting rooms at the wineries are open and upcoming events include Taste the Passion, a sampling of local wines, chocolate and savory treats at at the Wineries of Leelanau Peninsula February 2-3 and Romancing the Riesling on Old Mission Peninsula on February 16.
Every Saturday through February 23 you can Snowshoe the Lakeshore at Sleeping Bear Dunes on a park ranger-led walk on the white stuff from 1-3 p.m. Snowshoes are available for free loan. If there’s not enough snow the ranger will lead a hike at that time.
Not free, but something true TC lovers will want to have: a wall calendar featuring color images of the region for $10.95 plus shipping (12″x12″ that opens to 12″x24″).
