Heikki Lunta Go Away

Snow day in East Hancock, Michigan, February 19, 2013.
Heikki Lunta (Finnish for Hank Snow) is the god of the white stuff, created in Michigan’s strongly Finnish-American Western Upper Peninsula when there was a shortage of snow. But hey, sometimes Heikki goes overboard!
The song is by Yooper David Riutta.

As posted on Facebook:
“It’s pretty normal to snow almost every day in the Keweenaw, but once in a while we do get an actual blizzard. Footage shot midday February 19th, 2013. Music is Heikki Lunta Go Away by Dave Riutta.”
